Academic policy

## Completion

Each course publishes what completion means before you enrol: which lessons are required, which assessments must be passed, and the pass mark. The platform checks it. A learner never marks their own course complete.

The pass mark is 70 per cent unless a course states otherwise on its page.

## Assessment

Quizzes are marked automatically and the answer key is never sent to the browser. Assignments are marked by a person against a rubric published with the assignment.

Where a course allows more than one attempt it says so, and the best attempt counts.

## Certificates

A certificate is issued when the published rules are met, and not before. It carries a serial number that anyone can check without an account.

Certificates cannot be edited after issue. A correction is a new certificate that points back to the one it replaces, so the history stays readable.

## Records

Your learning record is kept for as long as your account exists. Issued certificates are kept permanently — a verifiable record that disappears was never verifiable.

## Changes

This policy carries a version number below. A course you have already started keeps the rules that were published when you started it.

Version 1. Consent recorded against this policy references this version, which is why the number is printed rather than hidden.
