Academic integrity
A certificate from the Academy is meant to say that the person named on it did the work. This page is what that sentence rests on.
## What is expected
Assessments are individual unless a course says otherwise. Discussion and study together are encouraged; submitting someone else's work as your own is not.
Where a course allows sources, cite them. Where a course allows generative tools, it will say so and say how — and where it does not, using them is the same as submitting someone else's work.
## What is recorded
Every assessment attempt is recorded with its score and its time. Assignment submissions are kept. Nothing here reads your keystrokes, watches your camera, or takes your screen: proctoring of that kind is not used, and would not be introduced without saying so plainly on this page first.
## What happens
A first concern is raised with the learner and the instructor, and the learner is asked to respond before any decision. A finding may mean a failed assessment, a failed course, or the revocation of a certificate already issued.
A revoked certificate is not deleted. Its serial continues to verify, and it reports that it was revoked and why. That is deliberate: a credential that could quietly disappear could never have been trusted.
## Appeals
Write to contact@unescocp.academy within thirty days of a decision, saying what you think was wrong. Appeals are read by someone who was not part of the original decision.
